State chairman of PDP in Adamawa State, Mr. Tahir Shehu, said the party has been vindicated for what it had said before about possible election rigging. Shehu said the postponement of the scheduled elections came to him as a surprise, however assuring everyone that it would not demoralise the PDP and its members in Adamawa. In its response, the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa said the postponement effected it as much as it did all political parties in the state.
