Election 2020: #dogsatpollingstations light up social media

Social media users are showing their love for democracy – with their four-legged friends – at polling stations around the country. Social media, on election day, is covered by strict rules. The law bars anyone from doing anything that influences a vote on election day, over the 19 hours between midnight and 7pm Saturday, when polls close. However, dogs and pets at polling stations have been lighting up social media. If social media isn’t your thing, email your photos of dogs at polling stations to newstips@stuff.co.nz and we'll include some of them here.
