The couple live alone in a rented old house in Moo 4 village in Tambon Bordaeng in Sathingphra disstrict. Yuean Chukaew said she and her husband Prasert Chukaew have been surviving on elderly people’s and disabled allowances of just over Bt2,000 a month, but they have to pay Bt2,000 in rent, leaving just a few hundred baht to buy food. She said had lost all her strength and could no longer collect vegetables for sale to supplement their income. She is asking for adult diapers or other aid to make her ailing husband more comfortable. Yuean said her two daughters left home years ago.
