An elderly woman was rescued and taken to hospital after being trapped in an overturned car following a collision in New Plymouth. Police, fire and ambulance staff were called to a crash between two cars on the corner of Lemon and Gover streets about 12.30pm on Saturday. Senior constable Jason Koch believed the flipped vehicle, carrying only the two occupants, was heading east on Lemon St.ANDY JACKSON/STUFF Fire rescue worked for about 15 minutes to remove the passenger from the flipped car.
