A woman is dead after a house fire in Ajax early Sunday morning, Durham police said. Police said they received multiple 911 calls at about 1:30 a.m. after flames ignited at a house on Abraham Ct. near Rossland Rd. When officers arrived, they found the body of an elderly woman. Police said it wasn’t clear if she was killed by the fire. The Office of the Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
