A 70-year-old man was rushed to hospital with a serious leg injury after he was struck by a car early Friday afternoon. According to paramedics, the elderly man suffered a serious leg injury, and was transported to hospital in serious but non life-threatening condition. Emergency crews responded to the scene at Eglinton and Oakwood Aves. just after 2 p.m.Police say a vehicle was travelling north on Oakwood Ave. and lost control as it approached the intersection, hitting a number of cars and the victim. A second person and the driver were transported to hospital with minor injuries.
