An elderly man involved in a three-vehicle crash in Hastings has been taken to hospital. About 12pm on Friday, Hawke's Bay police confirmed emergency services were called to the scene of an elderly man who was involved in a collision on St Aubyn St East in Hastings. A police spokesman said police arrived about 12.05pm, and when they arrived the elderly man was conscious and breathing. The elderly man, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, appeared to have suffered the medical event as a result of the crash.
