KOTA KINABALU: An elderly man in Likas was killed while crossing the road to buy breakfast. It is understood that Lee Thien Yu, 62, had chosen to cross the road near SM Shan Tao instead of using the overhead bridge, located less than 100m away. "We advise all pedestrians to be careful on the road and use overhead bridges or zebra crossings wherever available," ACP Chandra said. He also urged drivers to be more careful while driving and to stick to speed limits. He also said that they should slow down when driving near schools or in housing areas to avoid accidents.
