A video of an elderly man, who claimed to have been denied tickets as he was wearing a lungi, went viral on social media on Wednesday. The elderly man went to Sony square branch of Star Cineplex to watch “Poran” featuring Sariful Razz, Bidya Sinha Mim and Yash Rohan. In the video, the man said: “They did not sell tickets to me because I am wearing a lungi.”After watching the video, social media users called out the authorities asking for an explanation of the incident. The incident being circulated through social media is most likely the result of an unfortunate misunderstanding,” reads the official statement of the Star Cineplex. Meanwhile, Razz, one of the artists of film, promised to watch “Poran” with the elderly man with his team.
