Thieves have been targeting elderly homeowners in Hamilton in daylight hours, stealing items from their homes while they're outside. Information can be shared with Detective Slater via the Hamilton Police on 07 8586200 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Hamilton police Detective Paul Slater said that both times, the homeowner was outside in the garden and had left the house unlocked. Two such incidents occurred in Te Rapa in the last week.
