Officials were called to the suburban home, north of Dallas, just after 8 p.m., after a report of gunshots being fired. An officer entered the home and “observed several victims inside,” before confronting the suspect and shooting him, Plano police spokesman Dave Tilley told the Dallas Morning News. The officer who shot the suspect was placed on administrative leave pending the investigation, as is protocol.
