KOTA KINABALU: Eight medical assistants claimed trial at the Sessions Court here today to 38 counts of falsifying overtime claims amounting to RM126,757.24. They were Mohd Akmal Hafiz Mohamad Ariff, 26; Noor Salim Mohd Zin, 27; Juraineh Musalim, 27; Zulkifli Arun, 28; Jaduin Untop, 30; Naza Fadirul @ Mick Ab Satar, 33; Terence Linchos, 38; and Mohd Rosidih Mohd Saidi, 38. Mohd Akmal, Noor Salim, Zulkifli, Jaduin, Naza, Terence, and Mohd Rosidih were accused of submitting false claims from Feb to June 2016 at the Sabah National Accountant Department Office. Meanwhile, Mohd Akmal also claimed trial to four charges under Section 28 (1)(c) - read with Section 18 - of the MACC Act for abetting by assisting Noor Salim in preparing overtime allowance claim documents for Jan until May. Naza also pleaded not guilty to 15 counts of abetting by assisting Rosidih, Noor Salim, Zulkifli, Jaduin, Mohd Akmal, and Juraineh.
