"Several policemen on patrol received a tip-off about illegal gambling activity along Jalan Abraham and went to investigate," said ACP Shaharudin. "The policemen were checking the front porch of a house where tables and chairs were set up when a group of at least 20 men attacked them," he added.He described the scene as "chaotic" and added that police were forced to fire four warning shots in self-defence. "The situation was brought under control. No one was injured but a group of men were taken to the Dang Wangi police headquarters for further action," he said. "Based on our investigations, at least 200 Chinese nationals live in the vicinity of the scene," he said.
