Rescue teams evacuated people, cut down trees, cleared debris on the road, and provided aid. The government has established 333 regional search and rescue teams with 13,600 members. Myanmar usually faces a first period of flooding in May and June and a second in July and August. In the past year, there were 72 teams with 7,200 members.
