NewsEight Indian fishermen who have been allegedly poaching in Sri Lankan waters were apprehended last night (21) by the Sri Lanka Navy along with their multi-day fishing trawler and equipment off the coast of Kadiramale in Kalpitiya. They were later handed over to the Kalpitiya Police. The group of eight fishermen, who are between the ages 18 and 55, are residents of Tamil Nadu. They are due to be handed over to the Puttalam Fisheries Office today, police added.
