The Kamalapur Railway Station in the capital has been crowded since Thursday morning. Eighteen trains departed until 10am. Holidaymakers were seen waiting at the platforms, all smiling and cheering as they go home for Eid with friends and family. “All trains departed on time except for the Rangpur Express,” Station Manager Shitangshu Chakrabarty told bdnews24.com. Bangladesh Railway said more than a quarter million passengers will travel each day during the rundown to Eid.
