Ahead of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, on Sunday, directed that security should be beefed -up nationwide ahead of the celebration to prevent any untoward situation anywhere in the country and to ensure a hitch free celebration. The directive was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja by the Force Public Relations (FFRO), Frank Mba, a Commissioner of Police. According to him, “the IGP particularly directed the Zonal AIGs and State Command CPs to put in place all necessary security measures to ensure a secure, peaceful and incident-free celebration. He enjoined citizens to celebrate and enjoy the beauty of the Eid-el-Kabir while remaining security conscious and compliant with the COVID-19 prevention protocols.
