People across Slough and Windsor will be gathering this weekend as festivities and events take place to celebrate Eid al-Adha. With festivities commencing this weekend, Eid al-Adha marks both the end of the annual Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca and the sacrifice of the Prophet Ibrahim. On Sunday, the Arab Welfare Association will be hosting an Eid in the Park event at Slough Hockey Club in Upton Court. Parking will be available from 8am, with the Eid prayer taking place from 9am and attendees enjoying a fun day until 6pm. Over in Windsor, an Eid in Windsor Park event is being hosted in Dedworth Manor Park in Hanover Way by the Windsor Muslim Association (WMA) and Darul Arqam Academy.
