Egypt's Trade Minister probes boosting economic cooperation with her Libyan, Jordanian counterparts


In a statement on Friday, the Trade and Industry Ministry said Gamea discussed with Minister of Economy and Trade of the Libyan Government of National Unity Mohamed al-Hawij means of fostering bilateral trade and economic relations. Meanwhile, the Libyan minister asserted his country’s keenness to boost trade and investment relations with Egypt. Meanwhile, Gamea’s meeting with Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef Al Shamali took up the latest developments in joint economic cooperation at the bilateral level and the trilateral level which engages Egypt, Jordan and Iraq. The volume of trade exchange between the two countries reached about $580 million in 2021, according to Gamea. The Jordanian minister said his country is keen to develop joint economic cooperation with Egypt.
