During this period, the authority was able to accomplish many important steps in the fields of exploration, mining and extraction of nuclear ores. Hamza added that a partnership was established between the Nuclear Materials Authority and the Egyptian Company for Black Sands to exploit the ores of the Rashid-Idku region, the product of dredging Lake Manzala and the product of the purification of Damietta port, to establish units to raise the added value of ores. Hamza pointed out that the authority conducted aerial and ground survey studies to explore the aquifer, determine the validity of the soil in the area of the national project "cultivating 19 thousand acres" in the New Valley Governorate. He added that a center for processing and interpreting aerial geophysical survey data has been established, which is the first center of its kind in Egypt and the Middle East region. The center contributes to the interpretation of survey data and the identification of areas of mineralization and surface geological structures.
