CAIRO – 4 July 2023: In a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, CEO of the Egyptian Space Agency Sherif Sedky stated Tuesday that Egypt's MisrSat 2 will be launched from China in October. The remote sensing satellite was delivered to Egypt in March, as it was subject to tests at the agency's Assembly and Integration Center headquartered in the New Administrative Capital. Those included electrical tests, dynamic loading simulation of the satellite's space model, electromagnetic harmony test, simulation of space environment, and communication tests. The agency's CEO underlined the great experience accumulated by Egyptian cadres running such tests in collaboration with Chinese experts. That is in addition to creating an economic function of the Egyptian Space Agency by providing services in the fields of satellite design, assembly, integration, testing, and high-resolution imaging.
