Auto rickshaw- CCCAIRO - 25 August 2018: Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Sharawy on Saturday banned the movement of auto rickshaws on main roads and highways.The decision included defining the routes that should be used by drivers of rickshaws.The minister issued a circular on this score that was distributed to all governorates in an effort by the government to regulate the movement of rickshaws nationwide.The decision also included easing difficulties facing rickshaw drivers who are seeking to obtain driving licences.The minister asked in his circular sending to the ministry accurate statistics about the number of rickshaws operating nationwide and how many of them are licensed.
