CAIRO – 17 April 2021: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi urged developing the Al-Fustat Park in Old Cairo and increase the green areas so that it restores its civilizational character as he met with the prime minister and the minister of housing on Saturday. “Housing programs and dorms for workers in Badr City were also touched on,” the statement read. “The President was also updated on the ongoing projects to develop various neighborhoods and regions in Greater Cairo,” the statement read. The presidency said these projects include the development of the 6th of October district, Geziret El-Warraq and Historic Cairo. These projects are carried out particularly in the area of Ain El-Sira Lake, the vicinity of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization and Al-Fustat Park, according to the statement.
