Egyptian cabinet extends curfew hours in North Sinai until end of state of emergency - Daily News Egypt

Curfew hours imposed by the state in North Sinai have been extended starting Monday until the end of the state of emergency that was declared recently. On Tuesday, Egypt’s House of Representatives approved an extension of a nationwide state of emergency until the end of September, as a police officer and two conscripts were killed by a roadside bomb in North Sinai. But a separate state of emergency in North Sinai was first implemented by a presidential decree issued in October 2014. According to the decision, the curfew will be imposed on the area between Tal Rafah in eastern Sinai, through the international borderline, reaching to Al-Ouga in the west, reaching Jabal Al-Halal. This was followed by an exchange of fire, where 40 militants were killed, as reported by Al-Refaie.
