KHARGA, Egypt, Dec 23 (MENA) - An Egyptian archaeological mission started excavation work in New Valley governorate on Sunday in various archaeological areas in Dakhla and Kharga oasis.The archaeological mission started work in Kharga's Ain el Kharab and Dakhla's Ain el Sabil upon the decision of antiquities minister regarding allocating sums of money to excavation work carried out by the Egyptian mission in these areas, said the General Director of Islamic and Coptic Antiquities Mansour Othman.The mission's work will continue for 45 days to two months, the official underlined, adding that the Egyptian mission is the first one to resume work in New Valley after halting the activities of archaeological missions over the past seven years.
