CAIRO - 13 September 2023: It gives me a great pleasure to celebrate with you today’s event “My Dream in Space” which connects Chinese astronauts and African Teenagers. The Egyptian / Chinese partnership has been brought to fruition by the establishment and the commissioning of the satellite Assembly, Integration and Testing Center (AITC), the largest in Africa and the Middle East. This collaboration enabled the training of Egyptian engineers on the design, assembly and integration of mini satellites. Today’s event falls within the strategic vision of the Egyptian Space Agency for spreading awareness among the general public for space technology and space sciences, preparing a new generation capable of introducing creative ideas and getting engaged in this fastgrowing field. This, together with hosting the headquarters of the African Space Agency on the premises of the Egyptian space City, is foreseen to enhance the engagement of African Teenagers in activities similar to what we are celebrating today.
