An Egyptian delegation of leading construction companies has concluded a high-level visit to Washington, D.C., aimed at strengthening U.S.–Egypt cooperation across Africa’s rapidly growing infrastructure sector. The delegation was headed by Samcrete, one of Egypt’s top construction and engineering companies, reflecting the private sector’s growing role in advancing regional development initiatives. The visit focused on positioning Egyptian firms within the expanding U.S.-backed investment ecosystem supporting infrastructure, energy, and critical minerals projects across Africa. Sherif El Bidewy, CEO of M&P, said the mission aims to position Egyptian companies at the forefront of Africa’s infrastructure transformation, highlighting their proven capabilities in delivering complex, large-scale projects.
