CAIRO – 18 April 2022: EgyptAir resumed on Monday its direct flights between Cairo and the Libyan city of Benghazi after an 11-year hiatus due to the deteriorating security situation. The national carrier will operate a daily direct flight between Cairo and Benghazi on Boeing B737-800. The talks tackled the executive mechanisms required to approve the constitutional and legislative basis for the national elections in Libya, Libyan sources told Youm7 on Friday. Manfi also valued Egypt’s diligent efforts led by the President to support Libya, particularly its contribution to restoring the national institutions and unifying Libya’s national army. This is in addition to the vital Egyptian supportive role at the international level for the current political track in Libya, Rady continued.
