He described as "clear" and "respected" the Egyptian stance towards the continued support of their country. Hajjar, in statements to MENA, said that Egypt's support goes beyond mere statements, yet the country is continuously providing medical, food and humanitarian aid to Lebanon. Egypt had provided assistance in the wake of Beirut explosion and during the COVID-19 pandemic, Hajjar said, highlighting Egypt's commitment to Arab solidarity. Hajjar hailed the cooperation between the Lebanese and Egyptian ministries of Social Affairs as "historical", in light of the the deep-rooted ties between Egypt and Lebanon. The visits between Egyptian and Lebanese social affairs ministers are still ongoing, Hajjar said, pointing out to the latest visit of Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Affairs Badr Abdelatty to Lebanon that demonstrated Egypt's continued support to Lebanon.
