The train vehicles are part of a deal signed between the Railway authority and Transmash Holding Company, the representative of the Russian-Hungarian alliance that supplies the deal of 1,300 vehicles. According to the deal, 51 percent of the vehicles are manufactured in Russia and 49 percent are manufactured in Hungary. Worth one billion, 16 million and 50 thousand Euros, the deal is to manufacture and supply the Egyptian railway system with 1,300 train vehicles. The deal includes 800 air-conditioned cars and 500 third class cars with dynamic ventilation. Egypt has started receiving new train vehicles as part of a plan to renovate its train fleet.
