Ninety-Nines international organization of women pilots logoCAIRO - 20 October 2017: Egypt will host the annual meeting of the Ninety-Nines, an international organization of women pilots, on October 27-29.The meeting, to be held under the auspices of Civil Aviation Minister Sherif Fathy, comes within the framework of the political leadership's interest in women's role and their participation in various activities, the Ministry of Civil Aviation said in a Friday statement.The event also comes in recognition of the success made by Egyptian women in several fields, including civil aviation.The Ninety-Nines is a non-profit organization that was established in 1929 in the US, with 99 female pilots having joined as members.Nowadays, about 5,000 female pilots from all over the world are members of the organization.
