Egypt was elected to host the Junior World Fencing Championships 2021with 101 votes against 29 for Bulgaria, during a meeting held by the international governing body of Olympic fencing (FIE) in France. Egypt is represented at the FIE by Abdel Moneim Al-Husseini, head of the Egyptian Fencing Federation (EFF), and Gamil El-Ziftawy, a board member of the EFF.
