Egypt’s Health Ministry on Monday confirmed 275 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 111,284, Ministry spokesperson Khaled Megahed announced. Sixteen deaths were announced on Monday, bringing the total number of COVID-19-related deaths to 6,481 nationwide. And 109 patients were discharged isolation hospitals, raising the nation’s total number of fully-recovered cases to 101,288. Egypt back in March imposed strict precautionary measures to curb the outbreak of coronavirus, which included setting curfews, banning large gatherings, and closing restaurants, theaters, and cinemas. Several countries have imposed full lockdown measures following a second outbreak of the virus that began in October.
