REUTERS/Issei KatoCAIRO - 14 November 2020: According to the Health Ministry Friday, 224 new coronavirus cases were detected, upping the total number of confirmed cases to 110,319. As many as 87 patients were discharged from isolation hospitals after receiving necessary medical care, taking the number of recovered cases to 100,847 so far, the spokesman said. The ministry announced Tuesday that it had reserved Pfizer anti-COVID-19 vaccine doses that will fulfill 20 percent of Egypt's needs. The data is from an interim analysis and the trial continues into December but the headline results were emphatic. Pfizer said they expect to supply globally up to 50m vaccine doses in 2020 and up to 1.3bn doses in 2021.
