CAIRO – 20 May 2021: The Health Ministry said Tuesday night that 1,160 new coronavirus infections were detected, upping the total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak in the country began to 249,238. In a statement, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said 57 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 14,498. According the President’s Health adviser, China announced that those who received two doses of the Coronavirus vaccine must receive a third dose of the vaccine. The two-day campaign will tour Cairo, Alexandria, Fayyoum, Giza, Port Said, Damietta and Kafr el-Sheikh governorates, Health Ministry's Spokesman Khaled Megahed said. They will also brief the citizens on the importance of getting vaccinated and how to register on the vaccination website.
