Egypt purchases Japanese air purifiers to stop indoor spread of coronavirus

Egypt has purchased from Japanese company KalTech its new air purifier that is said to be effective against a number of viruses, including coronavirus, businessman Tamer Wageeh announced. Wageeh explained that the devices employs photocatalysis by using a titanium dioxide filter, which works to inactivate the virus. The filter of the device is changed once every five years, and cleaned every six months. Al-Galaa Medical Complex for the Armed Forces is the first medical complex in the Middle East to use the device, he continued. Egypt has ordered 20,000 devices, with 10,000 devices arriving in the first batch of the deal, according to Wageeh.
