REUTERS/Brandon WadeCAIRO – 23 April 2021: The Egyptian government increased the fuel prices on Friday morning by 25 piasters, with keeping the prices of diesel and mazut. Egypt's Fuel Automatic Pricing Committee (FAPC) said the per-liter prices of 80-octane, 92-octane, and 95-octane gasoline will be sold at LE 6.50, LE 7.75, and LE 8.75, respectively. The new prices will be applicable starting from 10:00 A.M. (Cairo time) on Friday, as per the FAPC decision. In July 2019, Egypt announced applying the fifth and final tranche of fuel subsidies cut.
