CAIRO – 27 September 2020: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Sunday inaugurated the new headquarters of Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CCCPA), which is set to help enhance the center's ability to perform its duties and implement its programs. The Foreign Ministry of Foreign Affairs established the CCCPA in 1994 under the name of Cairo Regional Center for Dispute Resolution and Peacekeeping in Africa to serve as an active tool through which Egypt strengthens its involvement in peace and security issues in the continent. The prime minister issued a decision in 2017 to amending the functions of the center in line with the significant development witnessed by the issues of peacekeeping. The decision has enabled the Center to effectively expand its scope of work. It also assumed the duties of the executive secretary for a group of international activities, including the Aswan Forum for Peace and Sustainable Development held earlier under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
