FILE- Lieutenant General Abdel Fatah al-Burhan - Sudanese TV Channel screenshotCAIRO - 14 July 2019: Egypt is hosting the sixth meeting of the Egyptian-Sudanese Military Committee on July 14-18 under the chairmanship of the chiefs of staff of both countries' Armed Forces.The meeting includes a set of important talks on military and security cooperation as well as coordinating stances in various fields. The get-together comes as part of the regular meetings held between the two countries. The latest joint session was held in Khartoum in August 2018.In April 2019, President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi phoned Head of Sudan's Transitional Military Council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, to offer his support. Moreover, Bashir visited Cairo on March 19 where both leaders discussed the outstanding issues of mutual interest, based on the agreement reached at the recent Addis Ababa tripartite summit.Many politicians asserted that the two parties agreed to lower the intensity of disputes. They asserted that the relations between the two countries are on the right track.
