The scientific journal Nature published a report saying that Egypt is among the countries with the highest increase in scientific research production in world in 2018, the state-owned al-Ahram newspaper reported on Monday. Emerging economies showed a significant increase in scientific research production for 2018, according to estimates of the publishing services company Clarivate Analytics. In 1980, only five countries provided 90 percent of all scientific research: the United States, Britain, France, Germany and Japan. The analysis on scientific research included 40 countries with at least 10,000 research papers in the database. He went on to say that Egypt is currently is in dire need of scientific research, for the sake of improving the health, medical and agriculture sectors in Egypt, calling on Egypt’s NGO’s to participate effectively in supporting scientific research.
