Egypt’s foreign ministry has expressed its concerns over the recent escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories, renewing its support for the Palestinian cause. In a statement released on Sunday, the ministry denounced the invasions which the Israeli forces carried out in the West Bank, referring to the possible consequences of this escalation regarding the security situation in the Palestinian territories. Earlier on Friday, the Israeli forces used live fire against the Palestinian protesters, killing an 18-year-old Palestinian named Mahmoud Rabah Nakhleh, and injuring others, according to the Palestinian ministry of health. Protests came after the Israeli forces carried out new raids overnight on Friday in Ramallah. The Israeli forces said that it arrested dozens of Palestinian protesters, adding that two of its soldiers were killed at a bus stop in the occupied West Bank.
