CAIRO – 8 December 2021: The Ministerial Arab Council for Tourism elected Egypt Wednesday to chair its executive board in 2021-2023. Further, Tunisia was elected deputy chair, while Morocco, Algeria, Iraq, and Palestine became board members. The council's 24th meeting took place in the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo where the ministers also selected Jordan's Madaba city as capital of Arab tourism for the year 2022. They equally urged tourism official institutions in Arab countries to offer humanitarian aid and developmental projects to the fellow Arab state alleviating the impact of Israeli violations, and COVID-19 pandemic. In a similar context, tourism official institutions in Arab countries were advised to help Libya implement the National Human Patrimony House.
