The Rafah terminal was open from both sides to facilitate the entry of Palestinian, Arab and foreign stranded from the coastal enclave, said reliable sources. The crossing also received the injured and humanitarian cases from Gaza, the sources said, adding it allows the passage of humanitarian aid into the Strip as per the political leadership's directives. Egypt had exceptionally opened the crossing to enable people stranded on the two sides to cross and to deliver aid to Gazans. Egypt announced on May 17, allocating a total of 165 ambulances and 11 hospitals for the treatment of the Palestinians injured due to the Israeli aggression on Gaza, which claimed the lives of dozens of Palestinians. Egypt has taken political and diplomatic steps to encourage ceasefire, condemn the Israeli aggression and support the Palestinian’s legitimate rights.
