After winning six medals on the first day of the African Swimming Championship in South Africa from 16-22 October, the Egyptian swimming champions claimed another seven medals on the second day of events. Marwan El-Amrawy won gold in the 800m men’s freestyle, finishing with a time of 8:13.07. Mahmoud Samy finished the 100m men’s butterfly in 54.91, winning silver. Ahmed Hamdy won silver in the 400m men’s medley, as he finished in 4:30.22. After he finished with a time of 28.92, Ahmed Shamloul claimed silver in the 50m men’s breaststroke.
