Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and Chairman of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, stressed upon the need to preserve “Libya’s stability, unity and territorial integrity” during a meeting in Cairo today. In a joint statement, the two leaders affirmed their support for all efforts aimed at reaching an intra-Libyan political solution. They also called for the exit of foreign forces, mercenaries and foreign fighters within a specific time frame, in implementation of international resolutions.
