He added that the two-state solution is the base of achieving a comprehensive peace between Palestine and Israel. Meanwhile, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas affirmed that the participating countries are working on reviving the peace process in the region. In his speech, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian stated that the Palestinian cause represents a vital dimension in the region, adding that Israel should stop annexing Palestinian territories. On September 15 in Washington D.C, the UAE and Bahrain signed normalization deals with Israel, the step that was welcomed by some Arab countries like Egypt and Oman. During the signing ceremony, US President Donald Trump announced that more Arab and Muslim countries would reach normalization deals with Israel in the coming period.
