CAIRO – 21 February 2024: Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry praised Bolivia’s position regarding the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip that was clearly manifested in its rejection of any Israeli military operation in Rafah and its call for an immediate ceasefire and unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid. He also praised the level of coordination and cooperation between Egypt and Uruguay at bilateral and international levels. This came in Shoukry's meetings with Bolivian and Uruguayan counterparts Celinda Sosa and Omar Paganini, respectively, on the sidelines of the G20 meetings. The Bolivian Minister appreciated the Egyptian position regarding the war in Gaza and alleviating the suffering of the Palestinians. 2720 with regard to supporting the activities of the Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs and Reconstruction in Gaza and facilitating her duties in Gaza.
