Egypt’s current account deficit rose to US$7.6 billion from July to December 2020 from $4.6 billion a year ago, the Central bank announced on Monday. Remittances from Egyptians expatriates working abroad increased from US$13.7 billion to US$15.5 billion, while tourism revenues fell from US$7.25 billion to US$1.8 billion.
