The Egyptian Minister of Agriculture, Alaa Farouk, announced that agricultural exports surpassed 9 million tons in 2025. In a televised interview with Al-Qahera News (Cairo News), Farouk clarified that Egypt’s agricultural exports reached a total of 9.2 million tons. He noted that citrus fruits led the exports at 2.10 million tons, followed by potatoes at 1.4 million tons, sweet potatoes at 400,000 tons, and beans at 350,000 tons.
