By Vanessa Yurkevich, CNNNew York (CNN) — Egg prices have risen steadily over the past two years. Egg prices at the grocery store were up 30.4% in October from the year prior, according to the consumer-price index. Increased demand from holiday cooking makes egg prices even more volatile.
